Another
high-profile event that caught the eye of many viewers this week was
the Pronovias 2013 Bridal show in Barcelona. Let’s take a look at the
countdown:
1. Cannes 2012: Day 1
Fashion lovers, celebrity
followers, and movie fans all tune in each year to the most exciting
film festival around, Cannes. This year was the 65th Annual Cannes Film
Festival and day one opened in promising style.
Sacha Baron Cohen
was up to his antics again, dressing up as his film character, The
Dictator, and adding a little spice to the event. Other celebs in the
video include the actors of Wes Anderson’s “Moonrise Kingdom,” which
opened the festival, including Bruce Willis, Bill Murray and Edward
Norton.
2. Pronovias 2013 Bridalwear Show
Leading bridal fashion
giants Pronovias showcased their Spring/Summer 2013 collection in
Barcelona this past week. Bridal fashion has become increasingly more
and more popular each year, with the introduction of new garments,
innovative styles, and less conservative takes on wedding dresses.
The Pronovias show featured appearances from top models Karolina Kurkova, Magdalena Frackowiak, and Lais Ribeiro.
3. Cannes 2012: Day 2
On the second day of Cannes, the red
carpet looked as luxurious as ever when Eva Longoria, Marion Cotillard,
and Freida Pinto walked across it looking like true princesses in their
Emilio Pucci, Christian Dior, and Atelier Versace gown.
4. Bar Refaeli, Karolina Kurkova at Pronovias 2013
Is Bar
Refaeli shopping for a wedding gown? Although that is highly unlikely at
the moment, it didn’t stop her from making a glamorous appearance at
the Pronovias show. Refaeli described the show to FashionTV as being “a
little bit scary, because you know, big dresses, and you wanna have all
the impact, and you know be very special and there's a lot of great
models behind the scenes, so it's very exciting.”
5. Salma Hayek on the Cannes Red Carpet
Every day at Cannes
there’s something new to see. Day three featured a handful of wonderful
celebrity appearances including Ben Stiller, Chris Rock, Martin Short,
Jessica Chastain, and Jada Pinkett Smith, who all featured their voices
in the movie “Madagascar 3.”
Heavyweight actors such as Robert De
Niro, James Woods, Salma Hayek, and Jennifer Connelly all made
appearances at the Gucci Film Foundation premiere of “Once Upon a Time
in America.” Jennifer Connelly along with Salma Hayek were both clad in
stunning Gucci dresses to fit the event.
