Kate Middleton’s predilection
for Alexander McQueen dresses is still going strong. Every time she’s
worn a dress designed by Sarah Burton for McQueen, it’s had long
sleeves, and the latest is no exception.
For her appearance in the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee River Pageant in
London yesterday, Middleton wore a red dress from McQueen’s Pre-Fall
2011 collection—which had been worn previously
by Kim Kardashian—but had it customized with the aforementioned sleeves
and a longer, knee-skimming hemline. She paired it with her favorite
nude LK Bennett heels and a matching red clutch and Sylvia Fletcher hat.
The dress‚ with its long sleeves and pleated skirt, is not dissimilar to the Emilia Wickstead dress Middleton wore last week—she certainly has a penchant for that combination. And it seems she may have color coordinated
with her mother and sister yesterday, in a subtle nod to the Union
Jack: while Kate was in red, Pippa wore navy and white, and Carole
Middleton went with white.
