CAMPBELL was the victim of an attempted mugging as she sat in a
Paris limousine in November - contrary to recent speculation that
she was violently attacked while trying to hail one of the city's
taxis. A police report confirmed that the incident took place on
November 21 in Rue de Moussy, in the Marais district.
Two men on motorbikes were said to have tried to steal her
handbag, while the model was inside the limousine. Nothing was
taken, but she filed a police report in the 4th
arondissement and did not agree to a medical examination. The
Vogue model was recently been spotted in a wheelchair,
prompting reports that the injury was related to the attack. A
police source told The Daily Mail that Campbell was
accompanied at the time of the crime.
Campbell's spokesperson declined to comment on the reports on Friday.
